This policy explains what information Good Government California collects through goodgovernmentca.org and the forms on it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you sign up, sign a petition, take our survey or donate, we collect what you type in: for example your name, email address, ZIP code, phone number if you give it, and your survey answers.
When you visit the website, our website host collects basic information about the visit, such as the pages you looked at, your browser and device, and your approximate location based on your IP address. It uses cookies to do this.
The services we use
Action Network runs our email list, signup forms, petitions, email campaigns, surveys, and some events.
GiveButter processes donations. Your card details go to GiveButter and its payment processor, not to us. We receive your name, email address and the amount you gave. As a fiscally sponsored project, donations are received by our fiscal sponsor. Our fiscal sponsor disburses contributions in the form of grants to further charitable and educational purposes.
Squarespace hosts this website and provides our visitor statistics.

What we don't do
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it with other organizations without your permission, except the services listed above that run our website, email and donations, or where the law requires it.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.

Do Not Track
Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. The services listed above may collect information about your visits over time.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
