Good Government California is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation.

Donations can be made to the SD Mayer Foundation, a fiscal sponsor, on behalf of Good Government California. The SD Mayer Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code as a tax-exempt public charity (Federal Tax ID: 32-0477420).

The SD Mayer Foundation receives contributions and disburses those contributions to charities in the form of grants to further charitable and educational purposes. It makes a single payment to charities each month to keep administrative costs low for the charities.

The SD Mayer Foundation will only make payments to organizations that qualify and have been recognized by the IRS as public charities under Sections 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) of the Code, or foreign organizations that, in the sole discretion and determination of The SD Mayer Foundation, are the equivalent of US public charities or conduct programs that would qualify as charitable and educational under US law.
