Research paper: Lessons from Germany for the California Constitution

Our Executive Director Joanna Gubman just published a discussion paper on comparative constitutional design with the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) in Potsdam.

While California has set some of the world’s most ambitious sustainability goals, it is not on pace to meet many of them. The paper shows what it would take for the state’s lawmaking rules to support them, and draws on Germany’s experience to offer practical principles for California. Check it out!
